Cameroon has awarded four contracts worth a combined CFA1.43 billion to provide 20,000 new electricity connections in Yaoundé. The project accounts for 40% of a government target to deliver at least 50,000 additional connections across Yaoundé, Douala and Bafoussam, although the contractual timeline now extends beyond the initial third-quarter 2026 deadline. The Electricity Sector Reform Program (PRSEC) awarded the contracts on September 14, 2026, and the Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ARMP) published the decision the following day.
