Douala Port Adds 40,000 Tons of Grain Storage With Eight New Silos
The Port Authority of Douala (PAD) and Afisa Food Industry have developed eight grain silos at the Port of Douala-Bonabéri, adding 40,000 tons of storage capacity. PAD says the facility is designed to shorten vessel unloading times and provide additional storage for Afisa’s food-processing operations. The facility was developed jointly by PAD and Afisa, a subsidiary of Sudan’s Elnefeidi Group. Each silo can hold 5,000 tons of cereals. Under the arrangement, Afisa is expected to operate the facility for about 20 years before transferring it to PAD.…

Cameroon Orders CFA47.5 Million Audit Before Reviving Bini à Warak Hydropower Project
Cameroon has awarded a CFA47.5 million contract to establish how much was spent and how much work was completed under the original Bini à Warak hydropower project. The audit will give the government a consolidated technical and financial picture before it proceeds with a new development plan for the project. Water and Energy Minister Gaston Eloundou Essomba awarded the contract to the Brainstorm Consulting SARL/Moore Stephen CA/Labogext consortium on September 11, 2026. The technical and financial audit must be completed within three months.
