Cameroon has imposed new requirements on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) importers, marketers and distributors as authorities move to address supply disruptions that have left households searching for cooking gas. The measures are contained in a circular letter signed on September 23 by Water and Energy Minister Gaston Eloundou Essomba. According to information published by the Ministry of Water and Energy (MINEE), the rules follow consultations with operators over difficulties affecting LPG supply and distribution across the country. Under the measures, importers must comply with agreed delivery schedules, while marketers are required to pay LPG import invoices within contractual deadlines.…
