Cameroon Climbs Global Rankings for Rubber, Cocoa Paste and Bananas Despite 5% Drop in Total Exports
Cameroon moved up one place in global export rankings for natural rubber, cocoa paste and bananas in 2025, but national trade data show that the higher rankings did not consistently translate into stronger export volumes or revenues across the three products. The country ranked seventh worldwide for natural rubber, sixth for cocoa paste and 12th for bananas, according to the 2025 Report on the Competitiveness of the Cameroonian Economy. In 2024, Cameroon ranked eighth, seventh and 13th, respectively. It remained ninth globally for cocoa butter. The gains came during a year in which Cameroon’s overall export performance weakened.…

Food and non-alcoholic beverages (NAB) inflation quickened for the first time in nine months, both the alcoholic beverages & tobacco and health indices declined month-on-month, and fuel inflation continued to ease.
