Societe Nouvelle Maison de la Ville de Tunis SA, formerly known as SNMVT and Monoprix, is a Tunisia-based company primarily engaged in the retail trade. Through a network of stores, the Company trades a variety of goods and products, including fashion, food, general store and luxury goods. In addition, the Company is involved in the real estate sector. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated several subsidiaries, including HLC, operating in the hospitality industry, M.M.T, engaged in the agricultural sector; TSS and SGS, both involved in the retail trade; Societe Monogros, a wholesaling company, and Societe L'Immobielere Monoprix (SIM), specialized in the real estate development and marketing. In March 2013, the Company entered the Libyan market with the opening of Monoprix Medrar store.
