Salungano Group Limited is an investment and management company. The Company and its subsidiaries are engaged in the mining, processing, and trading of coal. The Company operates through four segments: Mining, Trading, Property Rental and Investment Holding. The Mining segment is involved in the exploration, beneficiation, and mining of bituminous coal. The Trading segment buys and sells coal to inland customers. The Property Rental segment rents property to other segments within the Company. The investment holding segment is the holding company and also acts as a central treasury function. Its trading division offers a range of coal products offers a complete range of coal products on a countrywide basis, including sourcing suitable coal products for clients. The Company's mines include Elandspruit, Khanyisa Complex Colliery, Vanggatfontein Colliery (VGF), Moabsvelden, and Arnot Mine. Its customers include companies, ranging from power generation entities to manufacturers.
