Copperbelt Energy Corporation PLC (CEC) is a power transmission, generation, distribution, and supply company. The Company is also a developer of energy infrastructure in Africa. The Company owns, operates, and maintains power transmission, generation and distribution assets servicing customers in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The Company's business consists of generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity to the mines in the Copperbelt. It operates through two segments: sale of electricity and wheeling services. Under the Sale of electricity segment, the Company sells electric power to customers. Under wheeling services, it charges for use of the Company's transmission lines by another entity in supplying power to the entity’s retail and mining consumers. The Company subsidiaries include CEC-Kabompo Hydro Power Limited, CEC DRC Sarl, CEC Renewables Limited, and Power Dynamos Sports Limited.
